Pi Beta Phi and Delta Upsilon host an event featuring a Corey White concert and numerous food trucks, which benefits Pi Phi’s philanthropy: First Book.

Why: This event benefits First Book-an organization that presents underprivileged children with their first book

How: Admission tickets are sold for this event. All the proceeds are donated to First Book.


Pi Beta Phi

12 women founded Pi Beta Phi on April 28, 1867 at Monmouth college. Pi Beta Phi was the first secret society for women and organization to establish an official philanthropic focus: children’s literacy. University of Oklahoma established the Oklahoma Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi in 1910. The Oklahoma Alpha chapter annually hosts Food Trucks Arrow & Ducks to raise money for First Book: an organization that provides underprivileged children with their first book. Pi Phi’s founding values are integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service to others and sincere friendship. Pi Phi’s official symbols are the arrow and the angel; its official colors are wine and silver blue.
